Holofex devices use Wi-Fi direct and an iOS and android app to control your holographic fan. The app will transcode any image to the device however we recommend a 3d image on a black background for the best effect.

Holographic fans create stunning 3D images that appear to float in mid-air. The device consists of a rapidly spinning fan with LED strips mounted on its blades. As the fan rotates at high speed, the LEDs flash in precisely timed patterns. This combination of fast motion and quick light changes exploits a phenomenon called persistence of vision. Our eyes perceive the rapidly changing light patterns as a continuous, three-dimensional image floating in space.
